6 Care That Every Man Should Take to Avoid Erectile Dysfunction

According to the latest data from one of the study, it was found that 44% of men have or gone through the problem of erectile dysfunction. The disease can be defined as the inability to maintain hard erection that allows penetration and satisfactory intercourse for both involved. In addition, it was found that 56% of men who suffer from the problem have the hypertensive patient, 19% diabetics, 13% have high cholesterol and also 12% of them are heart patient. According to the expert in erectile dysfunction, Carlos Araujo, there is no single cause, much less a standard treatment for the problem. “The efficient solution is to analyze the background and treat the patient's problem as this disease affects people of various ages and conditions”, said vascular surgeon.

However, there are scientifically proven causes of erectile dysfunction; know them and know how to avoid the problem.

1. Sleep well
According to a study by UNIFESP, patients suffering from impotence woke more during the night and had fragmented sleep, unable to reach the state of deep sleep. In addition, lack of sleep increases the chances of cardiovascular problems and diabetes, promotes weight gain, factors that contribute to impotence. Another associated problem is the self-medication remedies for impotence, which can negatively affect sleep. Many young people have self-medicated themselves even though they do not have the problem of impotency, seeking a leveraged effect of erection and, worse, associate remedies to alcoholic drinks and drugs.

2. Drugs
A study of the Royal College, London confirms that smoking increases the risk of impotency. Men who smoke are 40% more at risk of suffering from erectile dysfunction. And the greater the number of cigarettes smoked, the greater the chance of having problems in sexual performance. Even those who smoke less than 20 cigarettes a day have the chance of suffering impotence increased by 24%. This is because smoking has substances that clog the microcirculation, which also affects the penis and an erection. A study of UNIFESP also found that among users of alcohol, cocaine, crack and ecstasy, 47% have premature ejaculation, decreased libido and erectile dysfunction. The problem also relates to vascular changes caused by prolonged use of these substances," said the surgeon. In addition, drugs such as antidepressants and for baldness may influence the erection.

3. Injuries
Many young people who do not know the source of their problem of erection which may be an injury they had in the past in the penile region. There are men with erectile dysfunction who had taken a bite of the partner in the penis. Injury or trauma is also frequently caused during sports. If you have suffered an accident however small, it is worth making an assessment with the urologist or specialist physician.

4. Bicycle
A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine warns that cyclists, particularly men, should beware of bicycle seats they choose, giving preference to those who do not have a pronounced tip. Many previous studies have shown that cyclists were more likely to have erectile dysfunction, because of the pressure caused by the bike seat on the perineum. This doesn’t mean one should stop cycling completely, but one should take good care while choosing the seat of his bicycle.

5. Diabetes
The arteries of the penis are very sensitive to vascular abnormalities caused by diabetes. About half of diabetic patients have erection problems. And, these patients cannot be treated with the best-known drugs such as Viagra, as these have no effect. But, there are other forms of treatment, just find a specialized professional for help as soon as possible.

6. Obesity
A survey conducted by the Public Health School of Harvard, showed that obesity and physical inactivity increase the chances of erectile dysfunction. The study also noted that the obese suffer most from impotence because it had weakened their circulatory system which affects their health directly and their erectile problem indirectly. Additionally, hypertension and high cholesterol are related to the problem of impotency. Conclusively, circumference of your waist is not a direct cause of erectile dysfunction, but obesity can cause sexual problems.

Weak Penis Causes and Remedies

Erection weakness during sexual intercourse occurs when the two smaller arteries in the penile region do not receive adequate blood flow from the aorta and the heart. The weakness stems from blood vessels lining that’s too feeble to reach the penis.

In layman’s language; a weak erection is defined as the inability to sustain a hard on strong enough to continue with the lovemaking session. The penile region is a sensitive body part that should always remain in the best condition to maintain a hard on.

Many studies record that soft erections affect millions of men worldwide. If you find it hard to maintain hard erection; you are advised to book an appointment with a specialist and be examined.

What Are The Causes of Weak Erections?

The primary cause is blood flow disruption to the penile veins. The disruption during sexual activity makes the man ejaculate too soon. As much as there are many other erectile dysfunction causes; such as long time diabetes suffering, which may have damaged your nervous system. More ED causes include:
Extensive use and abuse of alcohol and drugs
                    Multiple Sclerosis
                    Prostate cancer operations
                    Fear brought about by guilt

Side effects brought about by hard drugs use
                    Low Self-Esteem

Old age plays a part in the deteriorating sexual performance of a man. Weak erections usually occur in the 40-64 years age bracket. Many men today fall into the category of individuals seeking for soft erection treatment. Their erection failure stems from past activities in their earlier years.
More causes of weak erections arise from the hardcore use of alcohol and drugs. Obese men will also have weak erections as their bodies are not able to keep enough blood pumping into their penis. Thus causing it to go flaccid seconds/minutes after getting a hard on.

Heavy tobacco smokers who have a severe case of High Blood Pressure also suffer from soft penises. Individuals that use stimulants continuously during the sexual intercourse count for 35% penis weakness when they engage in coitus.

Erectile Dysfunction and Diabetes Mellitus

Erectile dysfunction is the complication related to getting and maintaining a penile erection sufficient for penetration during sex. Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is therefore different from the problem of lack of sexual desire or premature ejaculation. Men with ED have sexual desire, but are unable to get or keep an erection.

Men with diabetes have a much easier time developing ED than men without the disease. And they develop for 5 to 10 years earlier and 25 to 75% more than a human without diabetes. According to the American Diabetes Association, at least half of men over 50 who have diabetes also suffer from ED. Risk of ED increases depending on how many years the man is with diabetes and their severity. Yet, the ED of men with diabetes can be well controlled with proper medication and treatment.

How man achieves erection?
Erections occur as a result of physical and / or psychological stimuli that cause the blood to flow and fill the tissue as sponge (called corpora cavernosa) of the penis. There is an artery running through the center of each corpus cavernosum. When there is an excitement, the body transmits chemical messages to the brain which in return signals the body’s smooth muscle cells to relax. When this occurs, blood is trapped there by the outer layer of the corpora cavernosa that causes it to not quit and be filled with blood and finally an erection. When the excitement is over, or the man has orgasm, the cells of the corpora cavernosa contract sending blood out of it.

Why men with diabetes have erectile dysfunction risk?
Men with diabetes have three main risk factors for having ED. First, diabetes can cause nerve damage (neuropathy) throughout the body, including the nerves of the penis. Changes in penile nerves can interfere with the ability of your body to send messages and receive them in the penis. Diabetes can worsen the condition known as atherosclerosis, in which the blood flows with difficulty by blood vessels. The narrowing of vessels of the penis, which are much thinner than those around the heart, causes an input difficulty and blood out of the penis, causing ED. Finally, diabetic men must monitor their blood glucose.

When not controlled, your body does not produce enough nitric oxide and vascular tissues do not respond well. Nitric oxide (NO) is a neurotransmitter produced by the body, responsible for helping the communication of a cell with the other. If the body does not produce enough Nitric oxide, the veins of the penis are not compressed with pressure and the blood comes out quickly with no hard erection. In addition to these causes, men with diabetes often have other associated conditions with ED - including hypertension, obesity and increased triglycerides and cholesterol. In general, diabetic patients have more than one adjuvant cause that does develop ED.

How to treat erectile dysfunction in who is diabetes?
The first ED treatment rule for diabetic patient is to control the sugar level in blood. Your doctor most likely will recommend some changes in your lifestyle as changing your diet and increase your physical activity.

Treatment:
1-    Changes in lifestyle: diet change, increased physical activity, weight loss, stop smoking.
2-    Medicines for diabetes, for other diseases, pro-erection medication (Levitra, Levitra, Cialis, Viagra).
3-    Other treatment options: therapy injection into the penis, vacuum use, therapy with androgens.

To sum up

Erectile dysfunction does not necessarily occur in all men who have diabetes mellitus. Keep your blood glucose (blood sugar) well controlled and have a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of ED. Control other associated diseases such as heart disease and hypertension. But it is very important that the man regularly consult the doctor, even if you have not yet ED signals.
